Hi all!

Welcome to Day 15 of the 30 Day Disney Blogging Challenge. We are halfway through! I’ve been enjoying this so much so far.

Today I am sharing my favourite Disney song of all time. I think a lot of people would agree with me too. I’ve found this classic has become so popular on social media, memes and in a lot of BuzzFeed articles. I love it for my own personal reasons however which I’ll explain down below.

I’ve already outlined the plot in one of my previous posts April 5th-Who Is My Favourite Disney Heroine? so I won’t rehash it all over again. When Mulan enters the training camp disguised as a man, she knows nothing of combat and fighting. Through this epic song, we see her transform from weak to strong. She proves to her captain Li Shang and all her comrades that she’s a force to be reckoned with!

I honestly cannot think of a Disney song I love more than this one. It might sound quite strange but when I was battling with severe anxiety, I’ll Make A Man Out Of You helped me through. It inspired me to keep pushing no matter how deep the fear ran. It gave me courage to face the day and overcome my mental illness. When I listen to it now, I feel very emotional. I owe a lot of gratitude to this song. I also enjoy working out to it as it’s an obvious motivator. It isn’t just catchy, it’s inspirational. You can interpret it however you wish but ultimately it’s a power song that can instantly lift ones spirits and fill them with determination. That’s how I see it anyway.

I don’t think I can pick a favourite Disney song. I really do like A LOT of them 😀 The first song that came into my head was A Whole New World. I also really like Under The Sea as it is so upbeat. Also like Colours of the Wind. But Circle Of Life probably has to be the standout for me, and that scene the song is in is just so symbolic of what it means to be together and what it means to love. Growing up, my mum would play Disney songs (all the classics) in the car when she drove me and my brother to school each morning in Malaysia – the drive was always an hour long and we would usually go through two cassettes 😀

  It was so hard to choose as they are all so wonderful. I love all the ones you mentioned! Circle of Life is epic! That would’ve been such a great childhood listening to all the Disney songs growing up 🙂 x
