April 17th-Which Disney Moment Makes Me Laugh Until It Hurts?

Hi all!

Welcome to Day 17 of the 30 Day Disney Blogging Challenge!

After yesterday, I promise to make this post much more light-hearted. Disney can be dark yes but it always has a happy ending with plenty of laughs along the way. I couldn’t truly appreciate a lot of the jokes within the films until I became an adult which only proves to me that Disney is for all ages and there is no shame in loving it forever! When I think about a scene that makes me laugh until my stomach hurts, I immediately go to this one from Lilo and Stitch. I’m certain you know the one I’m talking about. It is…

LILO & NANI’S FIGHT!

In this hilarious, heart-warming movie, Nani is Lilo’s older sister and primary guardian after both their parents are killed in a car accident. She is terrified that Lilo will be taken away by social-workers if they suspect something is amiss during their routine inspections. Lilo doesn’t really understand the situation and acts out during social worker, Cobra Bubbles’s visit. After he leaves, Nani yells at Lilo for her behaviour and the pair engage in a screaming match.

When this movie first came out, my best friend and I would literally act out this scene for days on end, always bursting into laughter at the end. It gives me some really fond memories and never fails to make me laugh. It goes a little something like this:

I love how they both scream into their pillows at the end, so frustrated by each other but scared at the same time to be separated. If you have a sibling, I’m sure you can relate to these types of ridiculous arguments. Lilo is such a strange girl. The whole movie is hilarious, especially when her and Stitch meet. My favourite line is: “go to your room!” “I’m already in my room!”

Disney is so good at making me experience an entire array of different emotions all at once. I’m laughing one moment, crying the next and by the end I want to watch them all over again. Which moment in a Disney film makes you laugh the most? I would love to know!

I shall see you all tomorrow! Peace & Love xoxo

  1. Hahaha! This scene from Lilo and Stitch is hilarious. Kids will be kids…and it is also a scene that shows adult vs child 😀 One of my favourite funny Disney scenes is from the Lion King where Rafiki asks Simba to go back home. That monkey is very cheeky and keeps teasing Simba how his past will come back to haunt him 😀
