25 Bookish Facts About Me!

Hi all!

Today I’ll be sharing 25 bookish facts about me! I’ve seen this tag floating around on Booktube and book blogs, so I wanted to do it too. I hope you enjoy!

1.) My Hogwarts House is Ravenclaw, my Ilvermorny House is Wumpus and my Patronus is a White Swan.

2.) My favourite reading genre is YA fantasy/contemporary.

3.) I’ve published two YA fantasy books with a third on the way.

4.) I’ve met authors: Anne Rice, Jay Kristoff, Amie Kaufman, Angie Thomas and Melissa Keil.

5.) I sent a fan letter to Darren Shan in 2017 and in 2018, he wrote back!

6.) One of my favourite places in the world is the Bodleian Library at Oxford University.

7.) I like to read multiple books at a time; typically 1 audio, 1 electronic and 1 physical book.

8.) I’ve re-read the Sweep series by Cate Tiernan more than any other book/series.

9.) My favourite literary classic is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

10.) My most despised book of all time is A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man by James Joyce.

11.) Last year I took part in The Sassy Book Club run by MissSassieKassie on YouTube and this year, I’m a member of the Books With Friends Book Club run by Common Spence and BooksWithChloe. Prior to that, I had never been part of a book club.

12.) I like to match my book with my bookmark. For example, if I’m reading a book with a blue cover, I’ll use a blue bookmark.

13.) My favourite place to read is in a hot bath.

14.) As a child, I used to borrow 20 books from the library and read them all in one day!

15.) The books that got me into reading were The Magic Faraway Tree trilogy by Enid Blyton.

16.) I own the entire Agatha Christie collection!

17.) When I was younger, I read books out loud to help with public speaking issues.

18.) I love the look of hardcovers but prefer the feel of paperbacks.

19.) I cannot resist a book with sprayed edges.

20.) My absolute favourite Booktuber is Common Spence. Seriously go check him out. He’s hilarious and a sassy Queen!

21.) I don’t understand people that read books in a series out of order. That makes no sense to me.

22.) I once had an interview to work in my local library but didn’t get the job 🙁

23.) I’ve never read a Stephen King novel but when I do, it will be IT and I plan to annotate the whole thing.

24.) A book that scared the crap out of me was 172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad. I’m still creeped out by it to this day.

25.) I buy the majority of my books from Book Depositary and have an affiliate link with them.

  1. The Faraway Tree is one of my favourite book series, and I really enjoyed it as a kid. 20 books is a lot of books to borrow from the library, and can so picture you doing that 😆 Hope you are well my friend 😊

      1. I love the Murder of Roger Ackroyd. I think it is the the cleverest of all the books but every book is its own masterpiece!
