Blogmas Day 21 – Tips For Christmas Shopping!

Hi all!

Welcome to Blogmas Day 21! Today I am going to be sharing some tips to make your Christmas shopping simpler and more efficient. I know this is coming a bit late, but a lot of people do their buying last minute, so it might come in handy. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

1. ASK FAMILY & FRIENDS FOR A WISH-LIST

I highly recommend asking your loved ones for their wish-list so a.) you get them something they actually want and b.) you don’t spend hours aimlessly wandering around the shopping centre, getting frustrated because you can’t find anything suitable. I did that this year and it saved so much time.

2. SET A SPENDING LIMIT

If you’re strapped for cash, let your family and friends know that this year you will be spending according to a monetary limit. I’m sure they will be very understanding. You will feel much better knowing that you aren’t going to go broke by the end of December. Plus there are plenty of low-budget gifts you can get that are awesome. You can even make them yourself!

3. INITIATE A KK!

Similar to tip #2, if you are worried about spending too much and have loads of people to buy for, initiate a KK (Kris Kringle). If you didn’t know, this is where you pull somebody out of a hat (keep it a secret) and buy only that person a gift – nobody else in the KK. You can set a spending limit here too or decide to spend a bit more considering you have less people to buy for. We are doing that this year with our cousins!

4. GO TO A WRAPPING STATION

If you’re super busy and not confident with your gift-wrapping skills, you can visit a wrapping station (usually found in bigger shopping centres) and the attendants will do it all for you. This takes the pressure off you and your presents will look next level!

5. BUY GIFTS ALL YEAR ROUND

mentioned this in an earlier Blogmas post, but you can shop all year round for your loved ones. You don’t have to wait till December hits. You can store these gifts away and use them by the time Christmas rolls around.

6. GET MONEY BACK!

This post is not sponsored but you can use browser extensions like Honey and RetailMeNot Genie. If you shop online with these installations, you will find coupon codes automatically added to your shopping cart at checkout (this is for online shopping by the way). This is a great way to save money!

7. SHOP DURING SALES AND AT DISCOUNT STORES

You don’t need to shop at the fanciest department stores in order to find fantastic gifts. There are plenty of discount shops promoting sales that will save you money and provide quality presents. I never buy top dollar. There is no need!

I hope these tips were helpful and that you’re having a great holiday season! Let me know any tips you have down below. Thanks for reading and I’ll see you tomorrow!

Peace & Love xoxo
