Blogmas Day 22 – Great Charities To Give To This Christmas!

Hi all!

Welcome to Blogmas Day 22! Today I am going to share with you a few of my favourite charities that are worth donating to during the Christmas time. I’m only including three because these are ones I have given to in the past. I think it’s really important to remember that the holiday season isn’t just about receiving, it’s about giving. If you feel like spreading some kindness this year, I have you covered. Let’s get into it!

1.) EDGAR’S MISSION

This is literally my favourite charity. I’ve supported them so much over the years because I love what they do and believe in their cause with all my heart. Edgar’s Mission is a not-for-profit animal sanctuary based here in Victoria, Australia. They rescue and provide sanctuary to animals in need – currently providing lifelong love and care to over 450 rescued animals. Through education, outreach, advocacy, community enrichment and farm tours, they encourage others to expand their circle of compassion to include all animals. You can donate heresponsor an animal here (Francis and I have sponsored a goat called Boots in the past) or simply buy something from their store here so the proceeds go towards the sanctuary. I have bought their calendars, diaries, tops and stickers.

2.) OXFAM AUSTRALIA

Another charity that I adore and have supported multiple times is Oxfam Australia. They work towards assisting poorer countries and families; believing that in a wealthy world, poverty is preventable and unjustifiable. I used to work right next to an Oxfam store and would buy myself and others gifts from there. It felt so good knowing my money was going to something so important. You can donate here, buy a gift here and get involved here

3.) NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION

This charity is very personal and important to me as my mother is a breast cancer survivor. My family have partaken in BCF charity events before and try to do the Mother’s Day Classic walk every year in the Melbourne CBD. You can donate here or fund-raise here. For example, you can host a Christmas morning tea at your place of employment or with family/friends to help raise money. It’s such an important cause and the more we give, the more research can potentially emerge on how to beat/treat this disease.

I hope you enjoyed this post. What are some of your favourite charities to give to during Christmas, or just all year round? Thanks so much for reading. See you tomorrow!

Peace & Love xoxo
