Hi all!
I’m back with another product review from Social Soup. You can check out my other ones here. In keeping with the usual theme, I want to give you my honest thoughts about the item and then have a quick discussion about a random topic. For this post, I will briefly share a picture of my new tattoo and the message behind it. Without further ado, let’s get into it!
I was given the opportunity to review a new product by Femfresh and choose between the Soothing Wash and Daily Wash. I chose the Soothing Wash and will absolutely continue buying it! It smells incredible, with hydrating cranberry and cornflower extracts. It has also been dermatologically and gynaecologically tested, so you know it’s medically approved. I really wish products like this had existed when I was going through puberty. We are always told not to use soaps or body washes down there, so it’s nice having something safe to apply in the shower and not worry about the repercussions. It is 100% soap free, hypoallergenic and pH-balanced for intimate skin. I highly recommend it for all women and gender-non conforming people.
Now onto the discussion topic! On May 22nd (the day before my birthday), I received my second ever tattoo. I had been planning on getting it done since last year but hadn’t told anybody. I went to InkArt Tattoo Studio and got “long story short, i survived” printed on my left forearm. This is a lyric from Taylor Swift’s song: Long Story Short on her newest album (that isn’t a re-record) Evermore. I won’t go too into personal detail but it represents all of the hardships I have been through in life and have overcome. It highlights my strength, resilience and owning my dark history. It’s very empowering. I got my first tattoo at 18 (the Gemini symbol on my hip) and waited until my 33rd birthday to get my next one. Nothing else had felt right until now and every single lyric on that song makes me feel incredibly seen. I absolutely love it. It carries multiple meanings and layers.
I hope you enjoyed this post. You can add your comments down below. Thanks for reading!
Peace & Love xoxo
