Hi all!
Today I am excited to announce The Ultimate Reading Challenge, which I will be completing monthly on this blog over the course of two years. This will replace The Vegan Cookbook Challenge. I really enjoyed testing out plant-based recipes, but I think it’s time for a change. Thank you to everybody that commented, liked and supported that series. It was so well-received. I may return to it sometime in the future but for now, let’s discuss how this new challenge will work!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Starting in January, I will pick one challenge from the big, fold-out book below. I need to complete them that month, review the dedicated book on this blog and share the prize I received for finishing that prompt. There are 25 challenges, which means this will take me a little over two years to work through. I’m really excited to start this new reading journey. It will be so much fun and allow me to broaden my bookish horizons. Just note, some of the tasks are more book-related, but I will still post about them regardless. I cannot wait to begin!
HOW WILL YOU CHOOSE THE PROMPTS?
To be perfectly honest, I am going to choose a prompt according to what my month is looking like. With two jobs and a young child, it’s difficult for me to always make time for reading. If I can see that I’m going to be particularly busy during a certain month, I will go for a more bookish-related challenge. I have already chosen the task for January, so you will see what I’m starting with next year.
WILL YOU READ JUST HORROR AND DO YOUR BOOKCLUB PICKS COUNT?
The answer to both of those questions is no. I will definitely read from a range of genres. The prompts below require diversity and I’m here for that. The bookclub picks already get their own review, so they will not be related to this challenge in any way. However, I may combine the tasks with any readathons I participate in.
WHAT PRIZES WILL YOU RECEIVE?
I refuse to cheat and look inside the pockets, so I have no idea what I’ll get at the end of each challenge. All I know – thanks to the back of the big book – is that they are bookish related. I promise to photograph and share what they are each month.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you are as excited as I am about this new series. If you wish to purchase The Ultimate Reading Challenge, I’ve linked it at the top of this post. Feel free to leave any comments or questions below.
Peace & Love xoxo
Interesting – I hadn’t realized that there were products now to set and reward challenges!
Have fun with it!
