I just posted a deeply personal blog about my EMDR therapy. I discuss how I found EMDR, what it is and how it worked on me. This is not for everybody but I did want to raise some awareness around it in case somebody was interested. I don’t want to sound cheesy but it completely changed my life. I learned so much about myself and was able to release so much trauma living in my body. I reprocessed memories, dreams and altered core beliefs that had been stuck in my brain like ‘I am unsafe’ and ‘I feel trapped.’ Have a read if you’re interested and if you know somebody who has undergone trauma or PTSD, maybe suggest it to them as a possible form of treatment? #emdrtherapy #emdr #trauma #therapy #ptsd #blog

Entertaining yet awful story-time ahead: Reminiscing about the time we went to Cairns...for all the wrong reasons. This was by far the worst holiday Francis and I ever went on. I booked this trip as a surprise getaway for his 30th and literally everything that could’ve gone wrong, went wrong. We went during monsoon season/at the end of the year so most things were closed. It poured pretty much every day which made it difficult to go outdoors. We went on the most traumatic boat ride of our life to the Great Barrier Reef that had everybody vomiting up and back. We still can’t talk about that boat without having flashbacks. On New Year’s Eve I developed a fever and as everybody yelled ‘Happy New Year’ from our hotel, Francis was dabbing my boiling forehead with a wet cloth. The only good day we had was the day we arrived where I’m soaking up the sun (see image above). I’ll never forget this trip and I hope if we ever return someday, we can do it all over! It isn’t until you are stuck inside that you realise how many things you took for granted. Like meeting up with friends for dinner or going to the cinema. This is definitely going to be a year we are never going to forget. All I can hope for is that humanity bands together (by isolating themselves haha) and we all do our best to flatten the curve. It isn’t about us anymore, it’s about the whole world. You may feel okay but that doesn’t mean you’re not a carrier spreading it to someone else who could die if infected.
