Happy Hunger Games everybody and may the odds be ever in your favour... The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes hit Australian shelves today and I made sure to grab myself a copy the second Target opened! If you’re not aware, this is the prequel to The Hunger Games and follows President Snow’s origin story. How he became an evil dictator and why he created The Hunger Games to begin with. I’m so excited! I’m thinking of posting a blog with all my thoughts as I read through it. Kind of a like a Buzzfeed post? I’m up to the very last book on my Bookemon TBR - the infamous House of Leaves. I’ve only read 10 pages so far but I can already sense why people dub this one of the scariest books ever written. This story follows a family who move into a house that is much larger on the inside than it appears on the outside. My library sent me this book even though I didn’t request it but after reading the synopsis I’ve decided to add it to my Bookemon TBR in place of ‘The Lucky Ones’ which unfortunately was no longer viable to be mailed to me. This story is a YA thriller about a mystery surrounding an adoption. I’m very intrigued!
