Taste-Testing 5 Vegan Easter Eggs/Bunnies

Hi all!

Today is a bonus Easter post! Last year, I taste-tested 5 new vegan desserts which you can check out here. This year, I am giving you my honest thoughts and opinions on 5 vegan chocolate eggs/bunnies. Just because you’re plant-based, does not mean you have to miss out on seasonal, delicious goodies! In fact, I noticed that my local supermarket had much more variety this year than last Easter. Without further ado, let’s get into it!

1.) NOMO – Caramel & Sea Salt Choco Egg 

The Nomo brand sells vegan Easter eggs with a few different flavours. There is the creamy choc, the hazelnut choc and the caramel & sea salt choc. I decided to try the latter and it was incredible! I gave it 5/5 stars for taste, texture and presentation. The egg itself was a great size for the price I paid. I highly recommend this brand in general. They sell vegan chocolate bars in the same flavours all year round. I would definitely buy this again and gift it to loved ones. 

2.) Pana Organic – White Chocolate Macadamia Egg 

If you’ve never heard of Pana Chocolate, they are a super decadent, organic and vegan chocolate brand. I am a massive fan of their white chocolate range, so when the macadamia egg was released, I had to have it! I loved this so much, I devoured the entire thing in one setting. I felt pretty sick but satisfied. The egg is creamy and filled with pockets of crunchy macadamia nuts. You can also buy an almond milk egg, salted caramel egg and regular chocolate egg. I gave this product 5/5 stars. It’s perfection!

3.) Sweet William – Chocolate Bunny 

If you prefer a chocolate bunny over a traditional Easter egg, Sweet William has a dairy-free, nut-free and gluten-free option. I did say this would be an honest review, so to be perfectly truthful, I was not a huge fan of this product. I couldn’t finish it because the chocolate itself tasted a little bit cheap. I know a lot of people adore this brand so it just comes down to personal taste. I personally wouldn’t buy it again but I’m happy it exists. I gave it 2/5 stars.

4.) Sweet William – Chocolate Easter Bunnies

I know what you’re thinking: ‘Bec, you just said you didn’t like the Sweet William chocolate – what gives?’ Allow me to explain. My daughter is also vegan and she is actually going on an Easter egg hunt today at her daycare. I didn’t want her to miss out so I bought a packet of Sweet William bunnies for her to enjoy. This is a great option for vegan/dairy-free kids. The 12 pieces have such cute packaging. Abigail will be able to participate with her friends and enjoy a treat at the end too. I gave this product 3/5 stars for convenience.

5.) Treat Dreams – Premium Crème Filled Egg  

Last but certainly not least, I had ordered this product last year to review for the vegan desserts post, but it didn’t arrive in time. I figured I would include it today because nothing screams Easter more than a crème filled egg. As you can see by the image above. the outside is speckled with white and pink. The inside has a golden, creamy filling that is so gooey and delicious. I could not recommend this treat enough. I gave it 5/5 stars. If you want to order one yourself, you can do so here.
